Rothwell Town Carnival 10k

We're delighted to announce the Carnival 10k will return for it's 2nd running on Sunday July 12th.
Following on from last years' successful event it was felt in order to improve on for this year we will move the date & timing away from clashing with Parkrun.
As the town north housing development is about to start in February, potentially with an increase in traffic within the 1st 1.5km of last years course, we will use the Festive 10k course for this year starting and finishing in the Town Square at a quieter time 9.00am.

Road closure information

There will be a rolling road closure in place from 10:30am
The following roads will be closed for the health & safety of runners, volunteers and spectators.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES: GREENING ROAD, DAISY BANK AVENUE, MANOR ROAD, MOORFIELD ROAD, HARRINGTON ROAD, FOX STREET, HIGH STREET, BRIDGE STREET, BELL HILL, GLENDON ROAD, RUSHTON ROAD AND ROTHWELL ROAD ROTHWELL
N.B. In the final 2k runners turn left into Littlewood St. then turn right on to Kipton Field then turn right onto Glendon Road to the finish

Residents information
I have made up a rough guide of where the runners will be at which point.
N.B. This is a full road closure but will be treated as a 'rolling closure' so as to minimise the impact on residents and local businesses.
As soon as the tail runner has left a section and it is safe to do so then the cones will be moved and the volunteers will proceed to their next position.
The 'Lead' column is based on when the lead runner will have arrived at that KM Point.
The 'Tail' column is based on when the tail runner will have exited at that KM Point.
