5k CourseDue to the increase in popularity for the 5k and 2k races and the difficulty in getting enough volunteers to help run the event we've made some exciting changes for 2019!
The 5k course will now start later at 7.15pm, start adjacent to the 10k start line and follow the main 10k route, finishing under the gantry. In the past it would take a minimum of 7 volunteers to control the finish area so we have decided to introduce chip timing taking away that need. This will guarantee an accurate time and our timing company prints out the results from their van so you can take away with you. Enter before June 1st and if you're in the 1st 150 entries then you will get a quality free race tech t shirt to wear on race day! Entry form

Parents, follow the instructions on the 10k page on how to attach to the shoe. The start time will remain the same at 6.30pm. Please be ready at the start line at 6.15pm at the latest for instructions. The 2k course will also change to a 1 lap and finish under the main gantry. 2017
Thank you to everyone who entered the 2017 2.5/5k Fun Runs. We hope you enjoyed a fantastic event on a very hot evening which saw an increase on the previous year in 2016 entry of 12 to an over whelming entries of 108 in 2017, with 71 in the 2.5k and 37 in the 5k. This of course gave us some unexpected challenges which we dealt with well.
We felt prior to the event we gave more than adequate notice and description of both courses by posting via Strava both courses on our Facebook page and this website, but despite this we're aware that a number of runners missed out a section of the course resulting in some claiming prizes claimed that should not have been. As of now I haven't yet received the list of on the night winners but in the spirit of fairness and this is ultimately a 'Fun Run' we have come to a conclusion in order to bring some kind of closure. However, if someone doesn't agree with this, we will be happy to look at this by emailing [email protected].
